Attend an “action” sponsored by a CCHD-funded project

 

 

 

 

 

Encourage your parish school or parish religious education program to participate in the CCHD Art Contest

 

 

 

 

 

Encourage the Small Christian Community groups in your parish to consider using the CCHD Advent or pre-Pentecost prayer booklets

 

 

 

 

Use CCHD t-shirts, pens, notecards, etc. as thank-you gifts in your parish.

 

 

 

 

Order CCHD-bumper stickers and buttons and give them out after the largest weekend Eucharistic liturgy.

 

 

 

 

Invite 4 friends to each join you in hosting an adult discussion group using the five-booklet series of faith-sharing booklets published by CCHD on themes of Catholic social Teaching

 

 

 

 

Contribute at least the equivalent of an hour’s wage to the CCHD collection and encourage others to do so. 

 

 

 

 

Publicize the names of the CCHD-funded project(s) in your area in the parish bulletin along with a one-paragraph description.

 

 

 

 

Let the parish know of the total amount collected in the CCHD collection and tell them how much will stay in the Archdiocese (25%) and how much will be used for national grants (75%)…and say thanks!

 

 

 

 

Pray daily for the poor and for the success of CCHD’s support for leadership development in low income communities.

 

 

 

 

Establish an empowerment sub-committee of your parish social ministry committee to be responsible for ongoing planning
